(JCI), an esteemed distributor in Metro Manila, recently held its highly anticipated sales conference for the second half of 2024. The venue, spanning a sprawling 7-hectare resort with a farm, restaurants, infinity pools, spas, and ATV tours, provided a perfect backdrop for a day filled with learning, reflection, and celebration for the principals, sales agents, and administration team.
The conference kicked off with Goya Chocolates by Delfi Limited. Sir Mandrin Manalo, National Sales Manager, and Ma’am Miracle Nicolas, Key Account Manager, led an energetic presentation, featuring a throwback to an early Goya commercial, marking the decade-old partnership between JCI and Delfi Limited.

The day began on an exciting note as Delfi honored the top-performing sales agent for the first half of 2024. Wheng Francisco, JCI's standout sales agent from the Pasig region, was awarded a flatscreen television for her exceptional performance. In addition, other sales agents were recognized with complimentary prizes, adding to the day's sense of celebration and achievement.
Their session was both informative and practical, covering product refreshers, best practices for product placement, negotiating skills, and new marketing materials for the sales team. The key takeaway was clear: while innovation is important, revisiting the basics is essential for sustained success.
Next up was SkinTec Advance Incorporated, led by Sir Chody Jimenez, National Sales Manager, and Sir Reimar Ricohermoso, Sales Manager. They kept the energy high with a fun party game, where participants passed around a large, lightweight box and danced when it was in their hands. This game offered a chance to win cash prizes and set a lively tone for the presentations that followed.
SkinTec's presentation showcased their product lineup, including KeratinPlus, AlcoPlus, DeoPlus, Empress, Fiona Cologne, and Grips Hair Wax. As lunchtime approached, the staff of Estancia de Lorenzo ensured everyone was well taken care of, serving coffee, merienda, and lunch with exceptional hospitality. Their service added to the overall positive experience of the event.
Following lunch, Nyne Beauty, distributor of the luxurious Designer Imposters Fragrances and Body Fantasies Cologne, took the stage. The presentation, led by Ma'am Talay Guevara, Key Account Manager, and Ma'am Kate Barchita, Sales Head, was informative and concise.
They announced their newest brands and products, shared plans for the coming months, and made several exciting announcements, keeping the team engaged and inspired. The new products the team sampled filled the room with sophisticated scents, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a luxury hotel.
SL Agritech Corporation followed, led by Ma'am Tiffany Lim-Ngo, Managing Director, Ma'am Raquel Sanchez, AVP of SLAC Sales, Ma'am Nancy Balderama, Distributor Sales Manager, and Sir Angelo Marcelino, Marketing Manager. Their presentation focused on the journey of Doña Maria Rice and Willy Farms Rice, highlighting their strong commitment to excellence.
Ma'am Tiffany shared inspiring stories about Filipino farmers, emphasizing SL Agritech's dedication to supporting local agriculture by providing seeds and equipment for rice sustainability and reducing reliance on imports. As a Filipino brand for Filipinos, SL Agritech plays a vital role in improving food security through high-yield rice varieties. Their presence highlighted the importance of corporate responsibility and integrity, adding a sense of honor to the event.
The JCI team erupted in cheers and applause when SL Agritech crowned Just Call, Inc. as their number one distributor. This recognition motivated everyone to strive for even greater success, perfectly aligning with the event’s theme, Hearts of a Champion.
Rounding out the presentations was Intelligent Skin Care Inc. (ISCI), known for Dra. Vicki Belo's Beauty Products, with Sir Robby Sicam, General Manager, Allan Garcia, Regional Sales Manager, Ma'am Aileen Borre, Senior Distributor Manager, and Ma'am Madel Andrade, Channel Development Manager, leading the session. They began with the sales team sharing their adversities that led to success stories, showcasing remarkable growth in various regions and branches, during the first half of the year, thanks to ISCI’s support.
The Belo Marketing Team, led by Sir Peter Rotario and Ma'am Joyce De Los Reyes, then shared updates and insights into their marketing strategies for the year and upcoming plans. They also unveiled Belo's newest product, Sun Spritz, a refreshing sunscreen face mist with SPF 50. Tailored for the Philippine climate, this product is expected to be a hit among Filipinos and is now available on Shopee and Lazada. The announcements, stories, and messages shared, gave everyone a renewed sense of purpose, highlighting the importance of working towards the goals set by ISCI for H2 2024.
The day's sessions concluded with a dinner and fellowship, featuring lechon, karaoke, food, and drinks allowing everyone to unwind and connect in a relaxed setting. As the principals and JCI team danced the night away, they enjoyed the camaraderie and festivities.
The sales conference did not end there, as the following morning began with two motivational speeches that nourished both the mind and soul, delivered by seasoned professionals from the industry. Sir Nelson Paguirigan, Certified Public Accountant, CEO, and founder of Nerupa Accounting Services, inspired the audience with his talk on motivation, sharing life experiences that guided the team's spirit. Meanwhile, Sir Edward Izon, former Assistant Vice President of Nestlé, had much to share, and delved into sales techniques by giving real-life examples. He emphasized the importance of strategic thinking, hardwork and data analytics. He shared his personal journey and how he overcame hardships, reigniting the team's passion.
